2011-2012 CONCERT SEASON

In the spectacular setting of Seattle's St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, Cantaré Vocal Ensemble performs two renowned works celebrating the magnificence of "Heaven and Earth". Accompanied by the Cathedral's extraordinary Flentrop organ, the program begins with Gabriel Fauré's beautiful Requiem symbolising "Heaven", followed by the "Earth" segment featuring Paul Winter's haunting Missa Gaia - highlighting percussion, saxophone, piano, oboe, cello, guitar, and bass accompaniment.
Tickets purchased in advance of the 7:30pm, Saturday March 10, 2012 performance are $20 General Admission and $18 for Senior/Students.

Sing We Now...

A holiday tradition shared by loved ones and friends, Cantaré Vocal Ensemble's Christmas concerts are a perfect way to welcome in the season. Sing we now… includes some of the most beautiful choral music ever written for this special season. Traditional carol settings, unaccompanied choral favorites, and new arrangements offer something for everyone.
9/11 NEVER Forget...

Featuring
Mozart: REQUIEM in D-MINOR
Albinoni: ADAGIO in G-MINOR
and the
Voices of 9/11
including select memoirs of the victims and their families
Narrated by MJ McDermott, Q13 Fox Metorologist, Voices of 9/11 is a collection of personal accounts and stories from victims and their families bearing witness to the events of 9/11. Interspersed between movements of the Requiem, these words will recount their experiences and memories of lost loved ones.
Funds collected during the memorial and a portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to the Twin Towers Orphan Fund. The non-profit was founded to provide educational and wellness support to children who lost one or both parents at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, or onboard the four downed airliners on September 11, 2001.

2010-2011 CONCERT SEASON
EARTH, AIR, FIRE and WATER

Cantaré performs for the first time at Town Hall on Seattle's historic First Hill, May 7, 2011, at 8:00 p.m. This concert features amazing compositions in tribute of the Four Elements.
Known for showcasing the community's top choral organizations, Town Hall is an historic Roman-revival-style building on the corner of 8th and Seneca.

CARMINA BURANA
Cantaré Vocal Ensemble joins with four other premiere Puget Sound ensembles to perform one of the most exciting choral/orchestral works ever composed: Carl Orff's legendary Carmina Burana. One day only: Sunday, March 27, 2011, 2:00 p.m., in the S. Mark Taper Auditorium at Benaroya Hall, 200 University St., in downtown Seattle.
Joining Cantaré for this amazing event are Kirkland Choral Society, Bellevue Chamber Chorus, and Sammamish Symphony Orchestra. Each choir performs individually in the concert's first half.

ON A COLD WINTER'S NIGHT
This year's holiday concerts are scheduled for December 4 and 5, 2010 at Seattle's legendary St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, 1245 10th Ave. E. on Capitol Hill. With its soaring acoustics, amazing architecture and awe-inspiring interior, St. Mark's is the perfect venue for this annual event featuring some of the most beautiful choral music ever written for this special season. Highlighted in this concert is Conrad Susa's Carols And Lullabies - Christmas In The Southwest, a collection of ten Spanish-language arrangements with harp, guitar and marimba accompaniment.
